Gastroenterology is the medical specialty dealing with the digestive organs, how they work, their diseases and how to treat them. It covers diagnosis, medical treatment and endoscopic examinations of the digestive system.

The digestive system is made up of:

  • The digestive tract: esophagus, stomach, intestines, colon and rectum
  • The liver
  • The pancreas

The practice is fully equipped to perform the main digestive examinations: upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy), colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, as well as interventional endoscopy procedures.
